New hose installed. That's 1 out of 4. The other three were the same idea. Doing the back brakes was a lot more hassle than the front ones, mainly because access to the connections is more difficult. I raised the car as high as possible and took the wheels off but it was still a neck ache special. On one joint I had to cheat and turn the flexible pipe rather than the union. This was because the metal pipe was turning with the union which was a bit worrying. The Haynes manual is a bit pious about using a brake spanner and replacing any graunched nuts. I reckoned that as long as they did up then all would be fine. |
